UiTM and J.P. College of Engineering, India Forge Strategic Partnership Through MoU

Shah Alam, 19 March 2025 – Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), through the College of Computing, Informatics, and Mathematics (KPPIM), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with J.P. College of Engineering (JPCoE).

Representing UiTM at the signing ceremony was Professor Ts. Dr. Wan Abd Rahim Wan Mohd Isa, the Dean (Academic and International), exercising the duties of Assistant Vice Chancellor for KPPIM. He was joined by Associate Professor Dr. Nur Atiqah Sia Abdullah, Dean of Industry, Community, and Alumni Network (ICAN) at KPPIM, and Associate Professor Dr. Shamila Mohamed Shuhidan, Head of the Research Initiative Group (RIG), exercising the duties of Dean of Research and Innovation.

This collaboration marks a significant step forward in fostering academic excellence and innovation between the two institutions. The MoU aims to strengthen scholarly cooperation through joint research initiatives, faculty collaborations, and student exchange programs that promote cross-cultural learning experiences. Additionally, it will facilitate the sharing of expertise in academic teaching and research, further enhancing knowledge exchange between both institutions.

Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG 17): Partnerships for the Goals, this initiative underscores the importance of international collaboration in higher education. Moreover, by expanding educational opportunities and research capabilities, the partnership also supports SDG 4: Quality Education. This alliance aligns seamlessly with Malaysia’s national vision of Malaysia Madani, reinforcing the commitment to educational excellence and innovation.

This MoU marks the beginning of a dynamic collaboration that is set to drive meaningful advancements in research, education, and industry engagement.
