Bandung, September 2, 2024 – The Lecture Hall at UNISA Bandung was the venue for an enriching knowledge-sharing session between two nations, as lecturers from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Puncak Alam Campus shared their expertise with their counterparts at Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Bandung.
The event, which took place from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., featured two key lectures. The first session was delivered by Ts Dr. Sharifah Shafinaz Sh Abdullah on the topic of “Sustainable Community Service & Academia.” She highlighted the role of academia in advancing sustainable community services, urging participants to reflect on how educational institutions can play a critical role in fostering the development of local communities.
The second session was presented by Madam Suzana binti Yusof, who shared insights on “Hospital Mesra Ibadah in Malaysia.” This initiative, which integrates faith-friendly practices within healthcare services, garnered much attention as it aligns with the religious needs of patients, particularly in critical care settings.
At the end of the presentations, a discussion and Q&A session provided an opportunity for UNISA Bandung lecturers to engage directly with the UiTM speakers. This interactive session paved the way for the exchange of ideas and knowledge, particularly on how both institutions can collaborate more closely on academic initiatives centered around community service and enhancing healthcare services. Participants contributed valuable insights, enriching the discussion with fresh ideas that could be implemented in the educational and healthcare contexts of both nations.
This event not only strengthened academic ties between the two universities but also served as a productive platform for the exchange of innovative ideas. Both institutions expressed a strong desire to expand their academic collaboration in the future, with the aim of driving educational excellence and community development in both countries.
“This is a significant step in connecting ideas and expertise at the international level, benefiting not only the academic community but also society at large,” remarked one of the lecturers from UNISA Bandung who attended the event.
The academic partnership between UiTM Puncak Alam Campus and UNISA Bandung is expected to continue flourishing across various fields, with hopes of creating broader opportunities for collaboration in the future.
