SHAH ALAM January 24, – Nor Anis Syafika binti Zumi Azlan from Faculty of Accountancy, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) scored the highest marks in Malaysia and the world in Management Information in the ACCA Foundation in Accountancy (FIA) December 2021 examinations. She was awarded prize winner by professional accounting body, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) when the results were announced recently.
When asked about her achievement, Anis shared that communicating well with her lecturers and understanding the principle of the subject were key factors. She said, “Our lecturers are always available when the student’s needed questions answered. They made it very easy for us to study and gave real-world examples that helped us understand the topics better.”
To help her manage learning online better, she transformed her study area into a classroom-like environment and made sure that she got enough sleep every day. This boosted her confidence and increased her motivation to remain focused.
This bright girl from Pasir Mas, Kelantan wants to venture into forensic accounting in the future and is confident that attaining a professional accounting qualification will bring her closer to her dreams.
Prof. Ts. Dr. Hajah Roziah Mohd Janor, Vice Chancellor of UiTM, expressed her pride in Nor Anis Syafika’s accomplishments and hoped that UiTM students would always strive and give their best in all their endeavours. She also stated that to be a high-performing university, UiTM will provide and equip a constructive environment for students and lecturers to have a global mindset and be able to compete internationally in making UiTM globally renowned.

The opening for new ACCA intakes in UiTM is done twice every year in March and September.
