BALI, 30th August 2023 – Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) achieved a remarkable milestone at the International Conference on Hospitality, Tourism, and Entrepreneurship (INSPIRE) 2023. The conference was hosted by Bali Tourism Polytechnic with the main theme “Reengineering the Hospitality and Tourism Industry toward a Sustainable Future.” With over two hundred participants in attendance, INSPIRE 2023 aimed to foster knowledge sharing among academics, practitioners, and students, all aimed at advancing the industry’s sustainability. The conference was officiated by the honorable Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. H. Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, B.B.A., M.B.A.

One of the stars of the event was Muhammad Izanee Danial Mohd Rizalpahlavy, a student from the Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management, Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management, UiTM Pulau Pinang Branch whose outstanding work earned him the prestigious Best Research Poster Award. His winning poster, titled “Augmenting Hospitality Online Pedagogy Using 360-Degree Video Extended Reality Technology,” showcased innovative approaches to enhancing the online learning experience in the field of hospitality. His achievement not only brought recognition to UiTM but also reflected the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in its students. Other UiTM Pulau Pinang Branch students, including Khairunnisa Shaari, Aida Najihah Ali Munauwar, Muhammad Faiz Saedun, Ahmad Aidil Yusri Shafie, and Nur Iffah Abd Halim, also had the opportunity to present their research posters at the conference.
