KOTA SAMARAHAN, 21 Jan. 2025 – Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Sarawak recently hosted a working visit from UiTM Cawangan Selangor, Kampus Puncak Alam, aimed at enhancing academic and industry collaborations. The delegation included YBrs. Prof. Madya Dr. Masturah Maín, Deputy Dean of Academic, Faculty of Business and Management (FBM), and YBrs. Prof. Madya Dr. Nor Farradila Abd Aziz, Deputy Dean of Industry, Community, and Alumni Network (ICAN), FBM.
The visit, held at Bilik Mesyuarat Utama, UiTM Sarawak, Samarahan Campus, focused on key academic and industry-related matters. Discussions centered on final examination paper submissions, updates on industrial training, quality assurance (IQ-04), and potential collaborations under ICAN initiatives. The session also emphasized the importance of quality assurance, with YBrs. Associate Prof. ChM. Dr. Mohammad Isa Mohamadin, Deputy Rector (Academic and Internationalization), UiTM Sarawak, providing valuable insights on enhancing academic standards and compliance.
A significant highlight of the visit was the briefing on the upcoming GempakPreneur Roadshow Event, a joint initiative between UiTM and Khalifah World Global Sdn. Bhd. YBrs. Prof. Dr. Juferi Idris, Deputy Rector of Research and Industrial Relations, UiTM Sarawak, was present during the briefing, which outlined the event’s goals to empower students and SMEs with business skills and industry exposure. The roadshow is scheduled to kick off in Shah Alam in May 2025 and will extend to Sarawak in November 2025. Mdm. Nurul Lizzan Kamarudin, Coordinator of ICAN, UiTM Sarawak, also participated in discussions on expanding research opportunities and strengthening industry partnerships.
