UiTM Lecturer Appointed as Assistant Professor of the Millimeter-wave and Terahertz-wave Wireless System Laboratory of NITech Japan

Ir.  Dr. Nurul Huda Abd Rahman, Head of the Antenna Research Centre (ARC), Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FKE), Universiti Teknologi MARA, (UiTM), Malaysia was appointed as an Assistant Professor of the Millimeter-wave and Terahertz-wave Wireless System Laboratory of Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan (NITech) on 1st  August 2020 for a three-year period.

Through this appointment and UiTM’s Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NITech, it will be a boost to more research and development projects in Millimeter-wave and Terahertz-wave Wireless System, specifically in antenna-related topics.

Millimeter-wave band and Terahertz band have great potentials in communication technology. The implementation of millimeter-wave and Terahertz band for wireless application is important to support faster data rate, higher bandwidth and large number of users or devices.

This area of research is very promising as the output of the research determines the future of our telecommunication industry. Ir. Dr. Nurul Huda Abd Rahman’s areas of expertise is on antennas for terrestrial and space application, array antennas, reflector and lens antennas, wearable & flexible antennas, electromagnetic analysis, RF design and measurement.
