SHAH ALAM: The Training for Trainers program (ToT) was held from May 29 to May 30, 2023, at the MTDI Space at the MTDC UiTM Shah Alam. This program is part of the preparation for the upcoming CelcomDigi Young Digital Innovators (CDYDIP) 2023 program, which will be held from June to December 2023.
In this two-day workshop, trainers consisting of lecturers from UiTM Kedah, Kelantan, and Johor branches were trained to conduct the Drobotics Program. This is where programming skills are taught through drones and line follower robots. The coaches are lecturers from the College of Engineering, UiTM Shah Alam.
Two representatives from the CelcomDigi Sustainability Department, Encik Areehan Hj. Abdullah and Puan Allina Ayof, also attended the program.
A collaborative effort between UiTM and CelcomDigi has made it possible for CDYDIP to run for the fifth year. This year, CDYDIP has expanded this program to the entire Malaysian peninsula. CDYDIP 2023 will be held in four regions through the involvement of four UiTM branches: the North region (UiTM Kedah), the Central region (UiTM Shah Alam), the Southern region (UiTM Johor), and the Eastern region (UiTM Kelantan).
CDYDIP 2023 will open its registration to all children from the age of six to 17 years old. In this program, it is hoped that schoolchildren will become more interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and that Malaysia will be able to foster stronger foundations for STEM education and innovation.
