SHAH ALAM, 19th June 2023 – Majlis Anugerah Tokoh Kepimpinan (MAT) is an event to celebrate Akademi Pengajian Bahasa (APB) students that have involved themselves in leadership through association clubs under Akademi Pengajian Bahasa such as Sekretariat Mahasiswa Fakulti Akademi Pengajian Bahasa (SMFAPB), Applied Language Society (APPLES), Persatuan Bahasa Melayu Komunikasi Profesional (BMKP), Bahasa Arab Komunikasi (PEBAKOM) and English Cultural Society (ECLIPSE) for the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 sessions.

Posters, messages and Google Forms regarding the nominees were spread to every APB student for voting purposes through WhatsApp and Instagram from 17 May 2023 – 31 May 2023. This is continued with the evaluation from the judging panel combined with votes casted by other students to determine the best leader overall, from 1st June 2023 – 7th June 2023.

On the 8th of June 2023, Majlis Anugerah Tokoh Kepimpinan (MAT) was successfully held at Dewan Anjung Seri Budiman (Dewan Annex), UiTM Shah Alam. Various categories were available for grab and the chosen students were presented with a plaque to commemorate their achievements. The objectives for this event are to further honed their leadership skills and give a positive impact on the products of leadership from students in Akademi Pengajian Bahasa.

On a final note, the involvement in leadership shown by these students are able to become motivators and examples for other students to take part in learning and further elevate this necessary skill.
