International Exposure Advantage through Collaborative Teaching

Recently, the Department of Business Management, UiTM Perak was involved with Collaborative Teaching which is an initiative organized by the Centre for Innovative Delivery and Learning Development (CIDL). The collaborative teaching was organized virtually with experts from Kalbis Institute, East Jakarta, Indonesia. More than 200 Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree students participated in the virtual events.

On 9th June 2023, Associate Professor Donant Alananto Iskandar shared his expertise on the topic of Macroeconomics Problems. The following week, on 16th June 2023, Ms. Florencia Irena Lawita and Mr. Maulana Malik Muhammad shared their knowledge about Sustainable Financial Planning. The events were conducted online via Cisco Webex. The experts from Kalbis Institute delivered knowledge in a different perspective inspiring students to explore diversity of knowledge. Students get the opportunity to experience the international exposure that broadens their mind and enhance their thinking skills.

CIDL is a tremendous effort by UiTM to encourage academicians across countries to collaborate and share their expertise within and across disciplines. The collaboration also extends to industrial practitioners to work alongside academics to educate, guide, facilitate, and train students. Collaborative teaching goes beyond mere delivery methods that includes the development of educational contents and assessments.
