Ethos! TESL Student Association (ETSA) Annual General Meeting 2022 Resumes Virtually on EDUTube Fakulti Pendidikan UiTM

The Faculty of Education, UiTM Selangor Branch, Puncak Alam Campus – ETSA kicked off the March – August 2022 semester events in organising its 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) yet again in the virtual mode. The AGM was headed by Ms. Siti Sarah bt. Suhaini, a third year TESL student and also ETSA’s Vice President for the 2022/2023 term. The AGM was conducted and live-streamed via the Faculty of Education’s official YouTube channel: EDUTube: Faculty of Education UiTM on 23rd April 2022 (10.00am-12.30pm).

ETSA AGM 2022 aimed at ensuring that all TESL students at the Faculty of Education are adequately informed by the newly formed ETSA’s High Committee members of all the annual planned events and activities. Feedback and responses from ETSA’s members are also welcomed and recorded for further improvements to the activities planned.

Dr. Wan Nurul Elia Haslee Sharil, the Head of the Arts and Humanities Department, initiated the AGM with an opening speech followed by brief speeches from Dr. Mazlen Arepin, the TESL programme coordinator and Ms. Munirah Mohd Izam, ETSA’s advisor. TESL students are reminded to take on active and proactive roles in ensuring that ETSA would be of most benefits to all members.

The AGM included 2 surprise duet singing performances from among ETSA members by Mr. Azim b. Arifin, Ms. Damia Batrisyia bt. Rizal, Mr. Syed Abdul Majeed Idrus b. Syed Noh and Ms. Nurul Suha bt. Mohamad Sukeri. The newly appointed President of ETSA for the 2022/2023 term, Ms. Nur Shafa Ashykin bt. Zammawi, also delivered a quick note enjoining all ETSA members to not hesitate in submitting ideas of desired events and activities. An appreciation segment was also dedicated to the former batch of ETSA’S committee members for the 2021/2022 term. The AGM concluded with an exciting Quizizz session for all members in attendance.
