Heartiest congratulations to the UiTM remarkable inventors in 2022.

Twenty exceptional ideas, products, or inventions developed by our staff were successfully granted patents and utility innovations from the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) through the Business Innovation and Technology Commercialization Centre (BITCOM), UiTM. Patent registration is essential to prevent others from taking advantage of or copying the owner’s invention. This is where ideas have been pushed forward for potential commercialization while keeping inventors’ names protected.

Assoc. Prof. Dr Heo Chong Chin from the Faculty of Medicine, UiTM Sungai Buloh, and Institute of Pathology, Laboratory and Forensic Medicine (I-PPerFoM) is one of the inventors who has shown great success for three different inventions with the titles An Insulated Container for Forensic Entomology (Patent), An Apparatus for Collecting and Killing A Flying Arthropod (Utility Innovation), and also An Apparatus for Storing and Organizing Tools (Utility Innovation).

UiTM is extremely proud of these achievements as they demonstrate the creativity, originality, and capability of our researchers and staff in creating new ways of solving problems for the benefit of people and relevant industries.
