The CelcomDigi Young Digital Innovators Program 2023 has officially kicked off with the DroBotics Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop for Pusat Ekonomi Digital (PEDi) managers. The workshop commenced in two regions, namely the East Coast and the Northern regions, with sessions at UiTM Kelantan on August 24, followed by UiTM Kedah on August 27, 2023.

Meanwhile, the ToT workshop will continue in these two regions, central (UiTM Shah Alam) and southern (UiTM Johor), in the subsequent month. Following the completion of the DrobBotics ToT workshop, these PEDi managers will execute DroBotics for CDYDIP2023, which involves 36 PEDis from the four regions. This is also a special feature of CDYDIP2023.

In addition, the children around PEDis managed by CelcomDigi from these four regions will have the opportunity to partake in CYDIP2023. This year, CDYDIP highlights two main components: DroBotics and Designthon. DroBotics highlights programming by using drones and line-following robots, while the Designthon focuses on the concepts of design thinking and programming.

It marked the fifth year of collaboration between CelcomDigi and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) which aimed to provide communities and students with the opportunity to learn basic robotics and coding. As a result of this fun and engaging approach, it is hoped that their knowledge of programming will become meaningful, thus igniting their interest in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) field.
