BERTAM, 6th July 2023 – The Physiotherapy Program, in collaboration with the Students Affairs Division and Career and Counselling Centre, UiTM Pulau Pinang recently hosted a Career Talk and Staff Recruitment Day exclusively for final-year students pursuing a Diploma in Physiotherapy. The event was held on July 6th, 2023 at UiTM Cawangan Pulau Pinang, Bertam Campus and attracted the participant approximately 35 students from both semester 2 and semester 6. The Career Talk and Staff Recruitment Day featured the presence of two prominent companies namely Physiomobile and Pantai Integrated Rehab.
During the Career Talk and Staff Recruitment Day, Mr. Nidzam Yatimi, the Founder of Physiomobile, captivated the audience by sharing his inspiring journey as a physiotherapist. He recounted his humble beginnings and the challenges he encountered alongside his partner, Mr Saiful, while establishing Physiomobile from the ground up.
During his talk, Mr. Nidzam Yatimi expressed the company’s future aspirations. Physiomobile has set its sights on expanding its branch network to South East Asia, particularly targeting Indonesia. By extending their presence to new location, Physiomobile aims to offer their specialized physiotherapy services to a wider audience, contributing to enhancement of healthcare in the region. He also emphasized the essential values that a physiotherapist should possess in order to have a successful career progression. He highlighted the significance of a strong foundation and development of key qualities that contribute to professional growth.
Madam Nik Sheriena Nik Abdullah, the Assistant Manager of Pantai Integrated Rehab in her speech emphasized that Pantai Integrated Rehab is a prominent rehabilitation centre that aims to improve the quality of life for individuals with various physical impairments and conditions. The organization is dedicated to provide comprehensive and personalized rehabilitation services to its patient.
Following the career talk, the students participated in interviews conducted by representative from Physiomobile and Pantai Integrated Rehab. The students were eager to take part in this session, despite their initial nervousness, as it was their first opportunity of this kind. However, they managed to overcome their apprehension and approached the interviews with confidence. The organiser of Career Talk and Staff Recruitment Day held high hope that with the valuable insights shared by the two participating companies would greatly assist physiotherapy students in navigating their career paths.
