BASIC UNITY E-CONTENT PROJECT DEVELOPMENT TRAINING WORKSHOP

SHAH ALAM, 7th November 2023 – On the 21st to 22nd August, Basic Unity E-Content Project Development Training Workshop was successfully organized by Academy of Language Studies (APB) at Bilik Seminar, PTAR 1. In attendance was Prof. Ts. Dr. Janudin Sardi, Dean of APB. This training was designed to help participants learn how to develop and process e-content elements and core game development concepts accurately and efficiently using Unity.

This workshop was attended by 30 resource lecturers and lecturers who teach e-content subjects (or who are identified to teach) from the LG240, LG241, LG242, and LG243 programs. The guest speaker for this workshop is a renowned industry maker, Mr. Muhammad Farhanuddin bin Zahari from Fujitsu System Global Solution Management and assisted by Mr. Aizuddin Azim Roslan from Era Whiz Sdn. Bhd. Their expertise is much appreciated in the workshop training sessions. Their presence in this workshop provided added value to the workshop participants by providing a practical perspective and deep insight into the use of Unity in the development of e-content-based projects.

This workshop began with the introduction of ‘Unity’. Unity is a cross-platform game engine that allows electronic content developers or game developers to create exciting e-content and digital games. The training consists of 5 workshops throughout the two days event. The hands-on training workshop includes exporting and importing assets for Unity, creating and organizing new materials, creating and implementing animation and packaging and many more.

Consequently, hands-on workshops similar to this in education hold great significance and are essential for lecturers to provide a revolutionary teaching method as the demand for more Artificial Intelligence (AI) related resources increases.
