Assoc. Prof Dr Siti Norasmah Surip from Eco-Technology Program, Faculty of Applied Sciences has been appointed as Visiting Professor at Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, University of Indonesia (UI). She has built international network with UI since 2017 when she was invited as speaker in one of the conference organised by the department. The network continues with research collaborations, attachment, visits, co-organised seminar and conference, invited as visiting scholar and currently been appointed as Visiting Professor from October 2020 to April 2021. Due to pandemic Covid-19, she delivers her talk, lectures and consultation via online platform.

Dr Siti Norasmah Surip is one of the young Associate Professor in UiTM. She obtained her first degree in Material Science from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She completed her doctoral degree (Ph.D) at the age of 25 years old and was awarded as youngest PhD holder in Malaysia before joined UiTM in 2007 as lecturer.

She has experienced as Visiting Scholar at the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom in 2010 and sponsored as Visiting Scientist in IBM Almaden Lab, United States in 2013.  She is actively doing research in eco materials, nano fibers and polymer composites.
