Shah Alam, 25 February 2025 – The Sekretariat Mahasiswa Kolej Pengajian (SMKP) Kolej Pengajian Pengkomputeran, Informatik dan Matematik (KPPIM), in collaboration with Office of Industry, Community & Alumni Network (ICAN) KPPIM and Maybank, have successfully organized the “Enhanced Leadership and Effective Communication Skills for Global Talent”. The program which was officiated by Dr. Mohd Nizam Yunus, Dean (Student Affairs) KPPIM aimed to enhance graduates’ employability and upskilling.
The program featured three industry speakers from Maybank. Ms. Khaireen Sara, the Global Maybank Apprentice shared her journey in entering the job market. Audiences were enlightened on challenges in the job pathway, such as intense competition in the job market, challenging interview processes and the need to adapt to a new work culture. Additionally, she shared tips on overcoming them.
Mr. Mohd Naufal, the Resourcing Specialist continued the session with guidance on effective communication methods, including verbal and non-verbal communication aspects, as well as the importance of active listening in professional interactions. He also highlighted the importance of leadership skills in building self-confidence and demonstrating the ability to manage and collaborate within an organization.
The program’s highlight is the “Maybank’s Global #Mbassador Program”, presented by Ms. Sharifah who is the Co-Lead Global #Mbassadors Programme 2025 and the Global Maybank Apprentice which offers a huge opportunity for students to have hands-on experience of the professional world within the Maybank ecosystem. Through this program, students can develop essential skills, enhance their understanding of workplace dynamics, and build a strong foundation for their future careers.
With over 150 UiTM students participating in the program, it reflects UiTM’s dedication to working with prominent companies to cultivate high-quality graduates. In line with UiTM’s goals, the program is regarded as a huge success in future proofing graduates in the ever competitive global talent pool.
