28th August 2024 – The Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Pahang High Achievers’ Club members have demonstrated technological based university social responsibility at the Chiang Mai Rajabhat University (CMRU) Demonstration School. Four students from the biology department have conducted a session of fun and games on the teaching English tenses. This is then followed using ‘English Tenses App’ by 63 Thailand school students aged 9 to 10 years old.
Guided by the club advisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tengku Intan Suzila Tengku Sharif, who is also a lecturer from the Academy of Language Studies, the teaching sessions went smoothly and feedbacks from the Thailand students were excellent. Four physical games were conducted to teach English tenses. They were ‘Time jump’, ‘Space shuttle move’, ‘Pass the Tense ball’ and the use of the English Tenses App.
Special thanks to the headmaster and teachers of the CMRU Demonstration School, Chiang Mai, Thailand who has allowed such activities to be conducted. The team would also like to thank the Chiang Mai Rajabhat University international office led by Miss Nida and Miss Arry who have assisted in the connection building with the CMRU Demonstration school.
