Virtual International Collaborative Teaching Enhances Learning for Diploma Students

In response to the ever-evolving landscape of education, the Department of Business and Management at UiTM Perak collaborated on the International Collaborative Teaching initiative organized by the Centre for Innovative Delivery and Learning Development (CIDL). The International Collaborative Teaching program took place virtually, involving experts from Thuongmai University, Vietnam. More than 150 diploma students of MGT162 participated in this virtual event.

On January 19, 2024, Dr. Nguyen Thi Uyen shared her insights on two crucial topics: ‘Definition and Importance of Planning’ and ‘Strategic Planning and Operational Planning.’ The online sessions were conducted via Microsoft Teams from 9 am to 11 am. This provided students with a valuable opportunity to gain international exposure, broadening their minds and enhancing their critical thinking skills.

Spanning two hours, the program facilitated meaningful interactions between students and educators from diverse disciplines, transcending geographical boundaries through virtual spaces. Leveraging video conferencing tools and collaborative platforms, students engaged in real-time discussions and interactive sessions with both their peers and instructors.

The success of this initiative underscores the potential of virtual collaborative teaching in shaping the future of education. Institutions, in their pursuit of providing students with a holistic and adaptable learning experience, continue to explore innovative approaches.
