In a significant accomplishment, the Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Sarawak Campus has secured the esteemed Bronze Award at the Sarawak Public Service Quality Award (AKPANS) ceremony, held during the 2024 Civil Service Day. This achievement fills UiTM Sarawak with pride and also includes a cash prize of RM20,000.

The distinguished award was presented to UiTM Sarawak by the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr. Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg, in a ceremony at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

Previously known as the Chief Minister’s Quality Award Sarawak (AKKMS), AKPANS was revamped in 2010 to enhance its evaluation criteria. This improvement included principles from the Malcolm Baldrige quality framework, MAMPU Star Rating, and the SCS 10-20 Action Plan. AKPANS recognizes outstanding governmental departments or agencies in Sarawak for their excellence in governance, operations, and service delivery.

UiTM Sarawak’s receipt of the Sarawak Public Service Quality Award (AKPANS) highlights their commitment to excellence. This achievement demonstrates that with dedication and teamwork, excellence can be attained.
