SHAH ALAM, 30th May 2023 – A collaborative effort between Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Social Security Organization (PERKESO), and Delivery Riders (NGO), a P-Hailing Safety Passport (PSP) Workshop was successfully organized on the 20th May 2023 until 21st of May 2023, with the participation of key individuals from the College of Engineering, Dr. Mazlina Zaira Mohammad and Ts Dr. Rusdi Rusli. The program, funded by PERKESO grants, focused on enhancing the safety skills of 41 food delivery riders in Sabah and Sarawak who utilize motorcycles for their work.

The workshop e emphasized P-hailing safety and practical assessments of motorcycle safety conditions. Participants gained valuable insights and knowledge on safety protocols and measures while engaging in food delivery services. The collaboration between UiTM, PERKESO, and Polytechnics in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, and Kuching, Sarawak, played a pivotal role in making this program a success. By equipping delivery riders with essential safety skills, this initiative strives to enhance road safety, reduce accidents, and create a secure working environment for P-hailing riders in Borneo.

This workshop serves as a significant step towards ensuring the well-being and safety of delivery riders, while also highlighting the commitment of various organizations and institutions to fostering a culture of safety and professionalism in the P-hailing sector.
