SHAH ALAM, 5 DECEMBER 2022– Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) through their Student Affairs Division had officiated a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) and Talentbank on 14th November. The MoU was sign between Profesor Datuk Ts. Dr. Hajah Roziah Mohd Janor, Vice Chancellor of UiTM, Thomas Mathew, Chief Executive Officer TalentCorp Group, and Ben Ho, Chief Executive Officer Talentbank that took place at the Canseleri Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin building, UiTM Shah Alam.
Quoting from the Vice-Chancellor speech, UiTM is a university which always gives a high commitment in ensuring Graduates are born and shaped coincide with the needs of the industry. “UiTM is in the endeavour to be one of the Globally Renowned University by 2025. A goal also known as the GRU 2025 includes a few strategies that need to be achieve.”
“Among them are hiting the 90% target of graduate employability. UiTM is honoured because this MoU between TalentCorp and Talentbank will greatly assist UiTM in achieving this strategy for GRU 2025,” she explained.
Ben Ho, founder of Talentbank said that this collaboration was also part of pivot to focus on leveraging technology to increase the efficiency of our employability landscape “We are honoured to be partnering with UiTM, one of the largest universities in Malaysia with a strong history of producing top-class graduates in Malaysia. While this is not our first such venture, partnering with UiTM is an important step in the right direction. Receiving the support and trust from UiTM signals to us that we are on the right track, and are making a difference in upgrading Malaysia’s education and employability landscape.”
As of today, Talentbank has built over 30 career portals with and for public and private universities in Malaysia. The development of the career portal provides a platform on which employers and graduates can connect with each other. This is part of Talentbank’s continued effort to build a comprehensive graduate employability ecosystem.
