Furthermore, creativity often leads to innovations, which encompass novel concepts or methods aimed at enhancing established processes, increasing efficiency, and adding an element of fascination. The government, through its diverse agencies, frequently organizes courses and workshops aimed at integrating creative and innovative elements into product production. For instance, initiatives like the Education Development Master Plan (2006-2010) and the Malaysian Education Development Plan (2013-2025) prioritize the development of creative and innovative human capital and thinking skills. Similarly, in the realm of entrepreneurship, the focus lies on generating competitive products by fostering creativity and innovation.
To ensure that students stay at the forefront of innovation, MASMED UiTM Perak Branch has partnered with the Business and Management Department to host the Perak Product Idea Competition (PRiDE) on 6 July 2023, which provides a platform for students to showcase their creative ideas and entrepreneurial talents, fostering a culture of innovation and forward-thinking within the university.
In this competition, students are required to develop a single product idea in their respective groups, showcasing their creativity. Each group is responsible for presentation, which will be delivered at the end of the semester. The judging process involves eight experts, selected based on their expertise in relevant fields.
This well-received competition offers students a valuable platform to present innovative and technology-based product ideas. It also serves as an opportunity for the identification and potential commercialization of groundbreaking concepts. By encouraging creativity and innovation, this initiative contributes to the overall progress of the country.
