UiTM SHAH ALAM: On December 17, 2023, at the Sports Centre Hall, UiTM Shah Alam, the Sportcasters On Deck programme was arranged by semester 4 students majoring in  Bachelor of Sports Management (Honours) programme in the Faculty of Sports Science and Recreation.

The programme was attended by 120 students consisting of the sports and recreation science Faculty of Sports Science and Recreation, Faculty of Communication and Media, UKM Students, SMK Seksyen 4 Kota Damansara and public.

This programme emphasises sports industry criticism and journalistic career concepts.  Among the topics covered are effective communication techniques and the value of public relations as a career path-developing tool.

Sportcasters On Deck! has assembled an impressive panel of journalists from Astro Arena, including outstanding sports commentator Wan Khairil Azwa, Hafizal Hamad, Lily Hamzah, Alice Harun, and Kamal Nizam.

Through the organized program the students gained knowledge about the career path that needs to be taken to get involved in the sports media industry. With the experiences shared by the panelists, the students are more aware of the field of journalism and commentary
