ETSA Maverick’s Training is an ETSA niche training programme made compulsory to all TESL students at the Faculty of Education, UiTM. It is the pre-requirement to the Maverick’s Programme, a specially developed module by ETSA to be implemented with either the primary or secondary schools students.
The 2021 ETSA Maverick’s Training episode is made extra special being the first ever Maverick’s Training conducted online as well as in combining semester 1, 2, & 3 TESL students for the training sessions this time around. Due to the big number of participants, ETSA Maverick’s Training 2021 was conducted in 2 replicated sessions on the 5 & 6 November 2021. Each session involved 5 activity slots made up of 4 Small Games slots & 1 Big Game slot.
Among the main objectives of Maverick’s Training are as an in-house facilitator training platform for Maverick’s programmes in schools and to foster excellent and effective communication skills among the participants who are also prospective Maverick’s facilitators. It is also hoped that the learnt skills would inspire the participants into adopting the EDUpreneur mindset as one of the possible educational career paths.
