15th September  2022 – The Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Pulau Pinang hosted a webinar entitled “Embassy Speaker Program: Education and Exchange opportunities in the United States of America”, in conjunction with the Malaysia – United States of America International Virtual Exchange Program 2022 between Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Pulau Pinang, Malaysia and Iowa State University, United States of America. This program was targeted at Malaysians who are interested in going to the United States. The webinar was held on 29th August 2022, 11:00 AM via YouTube Official UiTM Channel (https://youtu.be/jkvxquF4QXE).

The primary purpose of this program is to give exposure to all Malaysians regarding opportunities to study in the United States and introduce the Young Southeast Asia Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) program. The United States Embassy in Malaysia was represented by Mr Akash Suri (Public Diplomacy Officer), Ms Ameera Kamalrudin (Higher Education Coordinator), and Ms Fatimah Az-Zahra Norazman (Cultural Affairs Assistant – YSEALI). The Deputy Rector (Academic Affairs), Associate Professor Ir. Dr Ahmad Rashidy Razali, exercising the functions of the Rector UiTM Pulau Pinang Branch, delivered his opening speech and welcomed all participants. This webinar attracted hundreds of participants from many institutions, including UiTM branches and schools. All participants received an e-certificate for their participation in the webinar.
