UiTM remains committed to a steadfast set of principles: Excellence, Synergy, and Integrity. Its mission and vision are aligned towards achieving recognition as a globally renowned university in the fields of Science, Technology, Humanities, and Entrepreneurship. 

To uphold this mission, the Academy of Language Studies, Shah Alam, has organized a Strategic Action Plan (SAP) Workshop. The goal is to propel the Academy to achieve performance indicator (PI) targets for the years 2024 and 2025. This workshop was conducted from January 4 to 6, 2024, at ILD Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan. During the workshop, participants who were faculty lecturers, were divided into 7 groups/cores. Each group/core had a designated leader responsible for planning and ensuring the achievement of the university’s strategic plan.

To ensure the university remains relevant and proactive, the university’s strategic plan is anchored on three strategic thrusts, namely: Quality Education, Global Excellence, and Value-Driven Performance. Therefore, the 7 cores focused in this SAP workshop are as follows:

Core 1 – Teaching and Learning

Core 2 – Student Affairs and Leadership (Student Empowerment)

Core 3 – Research, Publication, Innovation, And Commercialization

Core 4 – Industry, Community & Alumni Network

Core 5 – Entrepreneurship And Generation

Core 6 – Talent Development (Administrative and Academic Staff)

Core 7 – Leadership And Administrative Governance

 

In summary, the Strategic Plan Workshop played a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory towards the university’s objectives. By concentrating on essential thrusts and strategic cores, the workshop established a comprehensive framework to address critical elements. The collective endeavors during the workshop were directed towards guaranteeing the university’s ongoing relevance and proactive fulfillment of its mission. APB is commited in pursuing UiTM’s theme for 2024 that is “UiTM Globally Respected”.
