Shah Alam, 4th December 2023 – APB E-Postgraduate International Colloquium Series 5 event was organized by Academy of Language Studies with the cooperation of Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak (PTAR), Universiti Teknologi Mara Shah Alam on the 1st of December at 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. The colloquium entitled “Revolutionising Postgraduate Language Research: Interdisciplinary Insights and AI Advancements in Academic Excellence” was carried out physically in PTAR UiTM Shah Alam and online via Zoom.
The guest speakers and panelists for the event were Prof. Dr. Melor Md Yunus (Faculty of Education, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia), Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Syamsul Nor Azlan Mohamad (Academic Assessment and Evaluation Division, UiTM Shah Alam) and Dr. Karmila Rafiqah Mohd Rafiq Anbarasan (Faculty of Education, UiTM Puncak Alam). This hybrid colloquium offers a platform for students to share experiences, present research findings, and enhance motivation. Moreover, expose students to contemporary research practices and trends while fostering physical and virtual interactions for networking opportunities.
Among all the papers that were presented physically, best paper presentation awards were awarded to Hu Jingbo for the English language category and Fatin Nabilah Aziz for the Malay language category. Furthermore, the awards for best online paper presentations were given to Ahmad Nazri Jelani for the English language category and Widad Ma for the Malay language category.
By exploring the synergies between diverse disciplines and cutting-edge technologies, APB hopes that the event aspires to propel APB’s postgraduates language research into a new era of academic excellence, where collaboration and innovation converge to unlock the full potential of linguistic exploration.
