Seri Iskandar, 19 February 2025 – The final-year students of the Diploma in Landscape Architecture at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Perak successfully hosted the External Review and Exhibition on February 12th, showcasing the innovative works of LAN/LDA350 Independent Landscape Designs. Organized by Cultas & Nympeaz Studio, the event was guided by studio masters Dr. Nur Huzeima Mohd Hussain and Dr. Atikah Fukaihah Amir. This significant occasion also featured the official launch of LANDesign 1.0, officiated by the Program Coordinator, LAr Dr. Norizan Mt Akhir. The publication marks a pioneering contribution to landscape architectural discourse and student achievements.
The External Review and Exhibition provided a crucial platform for students to present their final projects to a distinguished panel of external reviewers, including experienced professionals from the landscape architecture industry, academic scholars, and institutional partners. The event was graced by two prominent industry panelists: LAr Mohd Ezwan Samian, Director of Cubescape Sdn Bhd, and LAr Mohd Nazim Mohamed, Landscape Director of MBI. Their critical insights provided invaluable feedback, bridging the gap between academic learning and professional practice.
Throughout the event, attendees explored a diverse range of landscape design proposals, each demonstrating innovative solutions, sustainability integration, and context-sensitive planning. The exhibition not only showcased students’ technical proficiency but also highlighted their ability to address contemporary environmental and social challenges through design.
