21 November 2024 – A specialized private coaching session on ChatGPT prompting was conducted by Madam Siti Hajar Abd Aziz, fondly known as Madame Jaja, from the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, UiTM Melaka, Alor Gajah Campus. The event took place at Tun Abdul Razak Library (PTAR), UiTM Melaka, Jasin Campus, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
The session, designed as a focused and intimate learning experience, successfully gathered 10 female academic staff from UiTM Melaka. This small-group format enabled personalized interaction and targeted guidance for the participants, most of whom were new to the concept of AI-assisted tools for academic and professional tasks.
The coaching focused primarily on basic prompting techniques for ChatGPT, equipping participants with practical skills to optimize the use of this advanced AI tool in their work. Key topics included crafting effective prompts, understanding the potential applications of ChatGPT in academia, and ethical considerations when integrating AI tools into daily tasks.
The session was lauded for its practical approach and relevance to the participants’ professional needs. Participants expressed their appreciation for the clear and concise delivery by Madamme Jaja, whose expertise in communication ensured the session was both engaging and educational. Attendees left the session with increased confidence and enthusiasm to incorporate ChatGPT into their workflow for tasks such as research assistance, content generation, and enhancing productivity.
