On March 27, 2024, a bubur lambuk event took place at Masjid Nur Sa’adah Kg Sungai Ranggam, Perak, drawing significant attendance from various segments of the community. The event aimed to strengthen bonds and contribute to the less fortunate, attracting notable figures and representatives from various agencies.
Among the attendees who graced the event were Yang Berusaha Prof Dr Firdaus Abdullah, Dean of the Faculty of Business Management (FBM), and Yang Berusaha Prof Dr Mohd Afandi Mat Rani, Dean of Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS). Also present was Yang Berusaha En Norhisyam Karno, the assistant district officer from the district and land office of Kampung Gajah.
A total of more than 30 participants in this event, including villagers and representatives from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
Various activities were conducted throughout the event, including a collective effort in cooking bubur lambuk for 800 villagers, and breaking fast meals for 150 pax, distribution of bubur lambuk and contributions to the needy, as well as career sessions and academic program briefings from FBM. The contribution of the needy was from the donation of Ihya Ramadan from FBM faculty members. Additionally, the event was enriched with a tahlil session, communal breaking of fast, and terawih prayers.
The event not only provided a platform for socializing and religious activities but also offered participants opportunities to delve into educational and career-related issues. It is hoped that initiatives like this will continue to strengthen community ties and provide benefits to those in need.
