“Transformative Leadership Journey: Dr. Mazlina Zaira Mohammad Kljajic Successfully Completes Fully Sponsored IATSS Forum in Japan”

Suzuka, Japan – Ts. Dr. Mazlina Zaira Mohammad Kljajic, an esteemed professional in her field, recently returned from a transformative 35-day mobility training program held in Japan. The program, known as the International Association of Traffic and Safety Sciences (IATSS) Forum, took place from June 5th to July 8th, 2023, in Suzuka, Japan. Dr. Mazlina was among the 19 participants selected from various Asian countries to undergo this immersive leadership development experience.

The IATSS Forum, sponsored by HONDA Japan, aims to bring together young professionals from ten different Asian countries. Despite their diverse cultural backgrounds, religious beliefs, and professional expertise, the participants join forces and strive towards a common objective of “Making the World Sustainable.” Guided by the forum’s motto, “Thinking and Learning Together,” they engage in a wide range of activities designed to foster collaboration and personal growth.

Dr. Mazlina’s participation in the program was made possible by HONDA Japan, who generously sponsored her return flight ticket, accommodation, and provided a stipend allowance. Throughout the course of the training, the participants engaged in team-building exercises, attended seminars, and embarked on field trips to explore various aspects of sustainable development issues.

One of the highlights of the program was a field trip to the scenic Tohoku region. The participants were not only treated to a flight to the area but also had the opportunity to experience the renowned Bullet train, Shinkansen, during their journey from Sendai to Tokyo and Nagoya. This field trip allowed the participants to gain insights into the transportation infrastructure of Japan and witness firsthand the technological advancements in the field.

Additionally, the program included workshops, group study sessions, and a Japanese Cultural Day, where participants immersed themselves in the rich traditions and customs of Japan. The culmination of the program was marked by a final presentation, where each participant showcased their newfound knowledge and growth.

Reflecting on her experience, Dr. Mazlina expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to learn from and work alongside professionals from different countries. She stated, “The IATSS Forum has been an enriching experience, allowing us to develop as co-creative and collaborative leaders. The knowledge and skills acquired during this program will undoubtedly contribute to our collective efforts in making the world a more sustainable place.”
