The College of Engineering (COE) and the College of Creative Arts (CCA) at UiTM came together for a remarkable courtesy visit and meeting session.

SHAH ALAM, 20th June 2023 – A courtesy visit and meeting session between College of Engineering (COE) and College of Creative Arts (CCA) was held on the 30th of May 2023 in As Syafie Meeting Room, Level 7, Tower 2, College of Engineering, UiTM Shah Alam. This significant gathering provided an incredible opportunity for these two esteemed colleges to exchange experiences and insights, paving the way for future collaborations and synergies.

The COE made waves in March 2021 when it merged its four responsibility centers (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, and Civil) into a unified College of Engineering. This strategic move aimed to foster collaboration, optimize resources, and encourage interdisciplinary engineering.

Not to be outdone, UiTM launched the College of Creative Arts (CCA) on February 3, 2022. The CCA brought together three creative faculties (Art and Design, Film, Theatre, and Animation, and Music) to maximize faculty strengths and inspire creative arts innovation.

During the courtesy visit, representatives from the College of Creative Arts expressed their keen interest in understanding the management structure and operational procedures of the COE’s ICAN Office. The meeting was attended by esteemed individuals, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellors of both colleges, Deans, and Coordinators under the ICAN Office.

The conversation revolved around streamlining operations, improving management practices, and creating a harmonious academic environment. The COE shared its successful experience of merging diverse responsibility centers, while the CCA shared insights into uniting creative faculties and fostering a dynamic, collaborative environment. 🌟
