The 27th July 2021 marked the virtual meeting between UiTM, Malaysia and the Universitas Gadjah Mada Indonesia (UGM). The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen academic and research collaborations between the two universities, particularly in the are of innovation, conventions, conferences, research, lectures, field specialisation exchange, publishing, work exchange, student exchange and other activities deemed suitable based on the requirement. The UGM is ranked 254 in the QS World University Rankings 2022. The collaboration is seen as an opportunity for UiTM to learn and gain experience from among the top 300 universities in the
world.
The meeting was hosted by the Department of Strategic partnerships (DSP), UiTM Global Shah Alam and was participated by Prof. ChM. Dr. Hadariah Bahron, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Naqiyuddin Bakar, Ts. Dr. Abdul Halim and Gs. Ts. Dr. Abdul Rauf Abdul Rasam. Representing the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) includes Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Nazip Suratman, Prof. Dato’ Dr Abu Bakar Abdul Majeed, Assoc Prof. Dr Rafeah Legino, Assoc Prof. Dr Siti Noor Hajjar Md Latip and Dr Nurdiana Samsulrizal. Also present were representatives from the UGM, Dr. I Made Andi Arsana, Ms. Adhe Nurcahyarini and Ms. Cahya Wulandari.
