
UiTM PUNCAK ALAM, 11 October 2025 – The International Nursing Student Conference (INSC) 2025, organized by the Nursing Students Association (NUSA), Faculty of Health Sciences, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Puncak Alam, successfully convened nursing students, educators, and healthcare professionals from across the region in a fully virtual event held via Microsoft Teams. The conference was officially inaugurated by YBhg. Professor Dr. Mohd Haidzir Abd. Manaf, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, UiTM.
With the theme “Strengthen Nursing Practice Through Research and Collaborative Innovation,” INSC 2025 highlighted the importance of evidence-based research and interdisciplinary collaboration in improving nursing care quality. The event attracted 125 participants from local and international institutions, including Indonesia, the Philippines, China, Maldives, and Oman.
The program featured keynote addresses, research presentations, and judging sessions to recognize outstanding contributions. Keynote speakers included Dr. Nor Aziyan Yahaya, Senior Lecturer, University of Malaya, and Dr. Asiya Ibrahim, Dean, School of Nursing, Maldives National University, who shared insights on innovation and research in nursing practice.

Awards were presented to exceptional participants:
- Best Presenter Award: Christ Kirby Sta. Maria (CEFI, Philippines) for “The Unknown War: A Qualitative Analysis of Emergency Room Nurses in Handling Trauma Cases.”
- Best Paper Award: Ms. Kaela Rolaine H. Sasot (CEFI, Philippines) for “Exploring Diverse Perspectives on Nurses With Visible Tattoos: A Multi-grounded Theory Approach.”
INSC 2025 was proudly sponsored by Math Proofread and held in collaboration with the International Journal of Health and Administration (IJHA), providing participants the opportunity to publish and contribute to global nursing knowledge.
This conference marks a significant milestone for NUSA in promoting research excellence, leadership, and international collaboration among nursing students. UiTM extends its appreciation to the Nursing Students Association and the Centre for Nursing Studies for their dedication in organizing this prestigious event.
