Kuala Lumpur, 17 July 2025 – Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) continues to shine on the regional innovation stage as a team of undergraduates from its Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences (FSKM) secured the Best Innovation Award at the prestigious Digital Leap Innovation Pitching 5GOT & iOTx 2025, held in conjunction with the ASEAN 5G & OT Security Summit 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 15–17 July.
The winning team—Amir Hazmi bin Mohd Yunos, Amirul Hakim bin Mohd Yusri, Nurul Nadzifah binti Zamzuri, and Nurul Aina Firzanah binti Rosnan—were mentored by Dr. Fakariah Hani Mohd Ali and awarded a cash prize of RM2,000 for their breakthrough innovation. All four students are active members of the UiTM Cyberheroes Club, where Dr. Fakariah also serves as club advisor.
Their award-winning project, “Clouble: Secure Cloud Storage with Malware Analyzer & AES Encryption,” offers a dual-layered approach to cloud safety by combining AES-256 encryption with a built-in malware analyzer. This innovation not only ensures data confidentiality but proactively scans for threats before files are uploaded, creating a smarter, safer, and more resilient cloud environment.

This achievement exemplifies UiTM’s commitment to nurturing talent ready to take on real-world technological challenges through creativity, technical acumen, and societal impact. The Clouble project aligns strongly with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), by advancing secure and inclusive digital innovation.
Congratulations to the team for their outstanding contribution to cloud security and the broader field of cybersecurity. Their success is a testament to UiTM’s forward-thinking education and the global potential of Malaysian innovation.
