SHAH ALAM, 27th September 2023 –Β Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and MAB Kargo, a subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines System (MAS), have joined hands in a significant partnership aimed at advancing sustainable energy solutions and fostering innovation. The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signing ceremony took place on 27th September 2023 and was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests.

The event, which was hosted by Prof. Datuk Dr Ts. Hajah Roziah Mohd Janor, Vice-Chancellor of UiTM, was attended by key figures including Mark Jason Thomas, CEO of MAB Kargo Sdn Bhd; Kenneth Chan Chek Mun, Head of Strategy, Business, and Development at MAB Kargo; Prof Dr Mohamad Hariri Abdullah, Deputy Vice Chancellor of ICAN, UiTM; and Prof Dr Hajah Hamidah Mohd Saman, Assistant Vice Chancellor of the College of Engineering at UiTM.

One of the highlights of this collaboration is MAB Kargo’s support in transporting UiTM’s solar car, “Ecophoton,” to the prestigious Bridgestone World Solar Challenge (BWSC) 2023 competition in Sydney. MAB Kargo’s expertise in air cargo services and ground transportation logistics ensures the safe and timely arrival of the innovative solar vehicle, reflecting both organizations’ dedication to sustainability and technological advancement.

UiTM’s participation in the BWSC offers students a unique opportunity to develop project management skills, enhance soft skills, and gain valuable insights into teamwork and problem-solving. Beyond the competition, it nurtures well-rounded individuals ready to tackle real-world challenges confidently.
