UiTM Sarawak Team wons 2nd Place in the Autonomous Maze Solver Competition at DROBODEX 2019

Borneo International Drone and Robotics Explore (DROBOTEX) 2019 that was held on 4th October 2019 at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), Sarawak, was a 3-day exhibition, competitions and workshops event, that expose the visitors and participants with the world of new emerging technology in drones and robotics.

The event was organized by TEGAS. There were five categories of competitions that consist of autonomous robot line follower, maze solver, and manual drones maneuver for obstacle avoidance, parcel delivery and tiny hoop. Each competition had two categories namely the school category and the open category that were joined by international contestants.

UiTM Sarawak branch, led by Dr. Lee Beng Yong, a Senior Lecturer from Faculty of Computer & Mathematical Sciences, sent 11 teams of students to participate in the competitions. These teams comprised of 7 teams from Diploma in Computer Science and 4 teams from Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Electronic).

Five teams managed to enter the semi-finals and one team from Diploma in Computer Science, comprises Mohd Azamuddin bin Teruna and Muhd Faris Danish bin Antoni won the 2nd place in the Autonomous Maze Solver competition (open category)
