UiTM Sarawak Branch is organising the 3rd International Conference on Computer and Drone Applications (IConDA) 2022 at Dewan Jubli, UiTM Cawangan Sarawak, Kota Samarahan on the 28th to 29th November 2022. The Honorable Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Sarawak is the Patron of IConDA 2022. Professor Dato Dr. Jamil Haji Hamali, Rector of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sarawak Branch delivered his welcoming speech during the opening ceremony.

With the conference theme: Digital Innovation for Sustainable Development, the conference aims to provide a platform for local and international participants from both academics and industries to present their authoritative knowledge and the most up-to-date research findings in computer and drone applications technologies. This is essential for the exchange of information and knowledge between academics and practitioners for service excellence.

The two-day hybrid conference features keynote lectures and industrial talk by experts and industry leaders. This conference is co-organised with Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC). This conference is also sponsored by Sarawak Energy Berhad, Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Sarawak, Yayasan Sarawak and SAINS Sarawak. More than 30 papers will be presented by international and local participants over five parallel sessions. Industrial talks from industry leaders such as Rajang Solutions, DJI Drones Kaki Sarawak and Yayasan Sarawak will also be conducted in conjunction with the 3rd IConDA 2022. This hybrid forum will gather 5 panelists from the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Air Seed Australia, Flight Technology & Test Centre, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) and Singapore Institute of Technology.

The panelists will present their knowledgeable insights about the state-of-the-art computer and drone technologies and their applications. IConDA 2022 will be organized in a hybrid manner, with an estimated attendance of 350 physical and virtual viewers. School students from SMK Tarat and SMK Padawan will participate in Drone Piloting Workshop. Interesting exhibitions booths from the industries will exhibit their drones and their application during the events. Most of the presentation tracks on Day 1 & 2 will be accessible on a virtual platform via Zoom webinars.
