Jasin, 2 December 2024 – A group of 106 students from University of Technology MARA (UiTM) Melaka Branch Jasin Campus participated in the Student Entrepreneurship Seminar organized by the Center for Entrepreneurial and Technopreneurial Development (CREATE) in collaboration with the National Entrepreneurship Institute (INSKEN). The event took place at the Faculty of Industrial Technology and Engineering (FTKPI) at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). The students traveled to the venue in four buses, accompanied by their faculty escort team, led by MASMED 2 Coordinator Dr. Saida Farhanah Sarkam and three other lecturers—Mr. Mohd Rusydi Abdul Rahim, Ms. Mega Amirah Raihana Mohd Shahar, and Mr. Mohd Firdaus Abdul Malek.
The seminar aimed to equip students with an in-depth understanding of the latest policies and strategies in entrepreneurship. It also served as a platform to enhance their foundational and technical skills in business, preparing them to be competitive in today’s challenging job market and dynamic business environment. The program featured a series of relevant talks and mentoring sessions, including insights from INSKEN representatives on entrepreneurial opportunities available at both local and national levels. Students were also provided with opportunities to interact directly with organizers, making the experience both practical and impactful.
The participation of UiTM Melaka’s students sparked enthusiasm and motivation among them to explore entrepreneurship as a viable career path. Many students provided highly positive feedback, noting that the seminar not only introduced them to new knowledge but also reinforced their understanding of the importance of competitiveness and innovation in the entrepreneurial world. The knowledge and experiences gained through the program are expected to be catalysts for developing successful young entrepreneurs in the future.
The event ran smoothly and efficiently, thanks to the strong collaboration between the organizers and participants. Faculty members accompanying the students expressed their gratitude for the opportunity provided to their students to take part in such an enlightening event. They firmly believed that the seminar successfully achieved its objectives, furthering students’ awareness of the critical role of entrepreneurial culture in their lives.

The presence of students and faculty escorts exemplified the institution’s dedication to supporting talent development and entrepreneurship among youth.
