SHAH ALAM, June 9 — Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) has retained the top spot among 20 global academic institutions with the highest number of downloads of Emerald’s eJournal content in 2019.

Emerald Publishing, in a statement today, said UiTM remained top with 550,891 downloads, followed by Egyptian Knowledge Bank Data Centre with 479,135 downloads and Liberty University in Texas, the United States with 297,515 downloads.

“The top 20 global academic institutions with the highest number of downloads of Emerald’s eJournal content throughout 2019 have been announced as part of the 10th annual High Usage Awards.

“It is to celebrate the relationship between Emerald and the winning institutions, whilst also highlighting the global reach and impact of our research,” said the statement.

Besides UiTM, other local institutions in the top 20 rankings with the highest usage of Emerald eJournal content are Universiti Utara Malaysia on fifth spot and International Islamic University Malaysia in 20th place.
