Three FSKM UiTM students emerged victorious in the CTF (Capture the Flag) competition called the Hack@10 organized by UNITEN, Malaysia. The students competed against 111 students of 46 teams from 11 other IPTAs and IPTSs.
The FSKM students who managed to bag first place are Fakhira Amalia Binti Safwan, Muhamad Al-Amin Bin Mohd Zaini, and Zubli Quzaini Bin Zubli of the Bachelor of Information Systems (Hons) in Intelligent Systems Engineering. They took home lucrative prizes in the form of RM1500 cash.
Hack@10 2021 is a competition using the Capture The Flag (CTF) format that challenges university students in showcasing their skills in a cyber security-themed environment. In this competition, students are asked to solve computer security problems and/or capture and defend computer systems.
The competition lasted for seven days from 22 November 2021 to 28 November 2021. On 22 to 24 November students were given a CTF competition workshop and basic hands-on in preparation for the competition on 26 November 2021 for 24 hours. Participants were required to provide a report of the findings during the competition. Students were once again given 24 hours to prepare a report before the announcement was made and FSKM UiTM students collected the highest marks ahead of other IPTA & IPTS.
