SHAH ALAM, 8 NOV 2022 – UiTM is proud to emerge as being among the Top 14% of ranked universities in the QS Asia University Rankings (AUR) 2023. The results of the QS AUR 2023 were released earlier today, which ranked 757 institutions across Asia, with 34 new entrants this year. In overall rank, UiTM has moved up one spot from its position of 105 last year to 104 this year, solidifying the institution’s continuous upward momentum since 2018. Locally, UiTM holds the position of 9 out of 36 ranked universities in Malaysia.
Among the 11 indicators measured by QS AUR, Employer Reputation remains UiTM’s strongest indicator with a rank of 61 regionally. UiTM has also improved its position for Academic Reputation by achieving a regional rank of 68 this year, showcasing its high performance for these two top indicators of the QS AUR. Marked improvements are also recorded for the scores of faculty-student ratio, number of international students, and inbound and outbound exchanges.
“Last year, there were 40 new entrants to the QS AUR 2023. This year, we see another 34 new entrants joining the ranks and we can expect the number to keep on increasing,” commented UiTM Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Ts. Dr Hjh Roziah Mohd Janor. “As a comprehensive public university, we are proud of our ability to consistently maintain the upward trend of our university’s ranking. The battle has not been easy. Yet, these achievements continue to show us that we are on the right track towards achieving the status of becoming a Globally Renowned University by 2025.”
