UiTM and Hexagon-MSC Software Collaborate to Advance Talent and Solutions in Computer Aided Engineering

SHAH ALAM, 18 APRIL 2022 – Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and Hexagon-MSC Software have jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today which aims to develop talent in the field of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and to offer inclusive solutions using CAE-based products.

This partnership with Hexagon-MSC Software is yet another example of ensuring UiTM research and innovation remain impactful and is commercially viable for both the industry and community, and expanding them to the rest in the region. With Hexagon-MSC Software’s reputation as an industry leader in CAE, this collaboration will see UiTM’s College of Engineering and Hexagon-MSC Software share more opportunities to contribute through innovation and research as important CAE enablers for industry and workforce transformation.

The MoU was signed by UiTM’s Vice-Chancellor, YBhg Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr Hajah Roziah Mohd Janor and Mr Lim Boon Choon, President of Hexagon-MSC Software. In attendance to witness the signing was YBhg Prof. Sr Ir Dr Suhaimi Abdul Talib, UiTM’s Assistant Vice-Chancellor, College of Engineering Studies and Mr Md.Kemarol Zamani Ibrahim, Manager of HexagonMSC Software.

In her speech, Prof. Datuk Roziah said, “This MoU commits UiTM and MSC Software to work closely together towards our common goal of advancing continuous innovation, active collaboration, and strong talent development. I am sure that both parties will be able to leverage on the expertise in our midst and harness new resources and technologies to address the common challenges that confront us”.

The MoU signed between both parties is poised to propel new and more substantial engagement initiatives in the near future. Hexagon-MSC Software and UiTM is fully committed to contribute in the areas of translational research and development, innovation and commercialisation to ensure quality education, global excellence and value creation in UiTM’s quest to become a globally renowned university by 2025.
