Plenary Lecture by YAM Tunku Besar Seri Menanti, Tunku Ali Redhauddin ibni Tuanku Muhriz, in conjunction with the 10th UiTM Dental Students’ Scientific Symposium

SUNGAI BULOH, 12 February 2020: Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Ali Redhauddin ibni Tuanku Muhriz, Tunku Besar Seri Menanti, graced his presence at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in conjunction with the 10th UiTM Dental Students’ Scientific Symposium (DSSS 2020). His Royal Highness opened his speech by emphasizing that every single time someone sits in the dental chair, dentists are helping them lead a better life. Subsequently, when someone has a better quality of life, they are then able to contribute positively in society. This is in line with the symposium’s theme, “Humanising Dentistry”.

Tunku Ali remarked that he has witnessed, and is inspired by how much millennials care about society and the world at large. His Royal Highness further asserts that innovation is essential to keep up with the demands and challenges of society.

Tunku Ali called on the audience to ensure innovations are made ethically and are beneficial to the society at large which is in line with the university’s vision of Education 5.0@UiTM.

Tunku Ali ended his speech by inspiring the audience to start believing and investing in one’s self as the first step in making a difference in society, one mouth at a time. The Faculty was honoured that Tunku Ali graced his presence at the student’s clinic and specialist’s clinic at the end of his visit.
