Last December 2021, UITM and UCSI University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Matching Grant Public-Private University. A documentary titled “Rejuvenating the Lost Paradise,” produced by Dr. Wardatul Hayat Adnan (UiTM) and En. Farizi Jamaluddin (UCSI University), will compete with other local documentary makers today in the UCSI Youth Film Festival on March 30th, 2022. The documentary was chosen as the best documentary judging by Tech System Sdn Bhd (Production House), which was financed by UiTM, UCSI and FINAS Malaysia and supported by Terengganu Museum and Terengganu Tourism in Malaysia.

The project highlighted a hidden gem that witnessed Malaysia’s committed efforts in addressing the refugee issue, leaving behind artefacts that demonstrated the potential of historical tourism, which will serve as a wake-up call to the rest of the world about Malaysia’s humanitarian efforts and deny the mistreatment accusation. Visualization using documentary and 360-degree technology will aid in the development of the tourist sector through innovation in support of SDG 9. (Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure).
