Academy of Language Studies at UiTM Shah Alam took community engagement to the next level with the IYM Camp: Inspire Young Minds 2024 on June 6, 2024. Held at Sekolah Kebangsaan Telok Gadong in Klang, Selangor, the camp brought together 150 participants and 46 enthusiastic students from APB for a day of learning, leadership development and fostering community spirit.
The camp kicked off at 7.00 a.m. and ran until 12.40 p.m. Participants were divided into small groups, each led by a dedicated APB student facilitator. This facilitated a dynamic learning environment where participants could engage in interactive activities and workshops.
The core objectives of the IYM Camp: Inspire Young Minds 2024 were multifaceted. Firstly, it provided a valuable volunteer opportunity for APB students at the local Sekolah Kebangsaan Telok Gadong. Moreover, the camp aimed to strengthen the bond between UiTM Shah Alam and the surrounding community by fostering interaction between students from both institutions. Beyond fostering connections, the camp also focused on personal development for all participants. Activities were designed to improve communication skills, leadership qualities and overall well-being. This holistic approach nurtured a spirit of growth and empowered participants to become well-rounded individuals.
The IYM Camp: Inspire Young Minds 2024 serves a commendable initiative by APB.
