Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sarawak Branch was honored to lead the organization of Jom Masuk U 2024 (JMU 2024) for Sarawak Zone II, as entrusted by the Department of Higher Education (JPT), Ministry of Higher Education (KPT). Held on 18th and 19th May at Dewan Canselor Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud, Universiti Teknologi Sarawak (UTS), Sibu, the event drew participation from a diverse array of over 64 exhibitors, including public and private universities, polytechnics, community colleges, and Malaysian Skills Training Institutes (ILKA) nationwide. Notably, esteemed representatives from various agencies under the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT), such as the Department of Higher Education, Polytechnic and Community College Education Department, Malaysia Qualifications Agency (MQA), and the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), graced the occasion, further enriching the program’s impact and outreach.
The Institute of Postgraduate Studies (IPSis) UiTM played a vital role in the Jom Masuk U event, setting up a booth to promote postgraduate learning opportunities. This initiative aimed to support the Cultivation of Knowledge Program and encourage prospective students from Sarawak and beyond to explore advanced academic programs. IPSis UiTM’s presence added immense value by showcasing the diverse postgraduate opportunities available, enabling attendees to gain insights into advanced studies and research pathways beyond undergraduate education. The booth’s impact was further highlighted by a visit from the Vice-Chancellor of UTS, underscoring the significance of IPSis UiTM’s contributions to the event.
