26 May 2024 – Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia, played host to the “International Collaborative Teaching Webinar: Exploring Current IT Trends for Development.” This webinar, organized by the School of Computing Sciences, College of Computing, Informatics, and Mathematics at UiTM, was specifically tailored for the Information Technology and Global Development (ICT754) course within the Master of Science in Information Technology academic program.
Taking place via Microsoft Teams, 2 pm (Sumatera Selatan Time), this event embraced a collaborative effort, featuring an esteemed International Guest Speaker and moderated by Professor Ts. Dr. Wan Abdul Rahim Wan Mohd Isa (UiTM). The distinguished International Guest Speaker for this webinar was Prof. Deris Stiawan, Fakultas Ilmu Komputer, Universitas Sriwijaya, Sumatera Selatan, Indonesia. Prof. Stiawan’s presentation, titled “Current Trends in IT for Development,” offered comprehensive insights into the subject matter. Through a dynamic Q&A session, students had the opportunity to actively engage with the International Guest Speaker, benefiting from his wealth of experience in Information Technology.
Integrated into the curriculum of the Information Technology and Global Development (ICT754) course for the Master of Science in Information Technology program, semester March to August 2024, this webinar significantly enriched student learning experiences and reinforced educational activities. The collaboration with an International Guest Speaker aimed to enhance pedagogical methods, ensuring alignment with the latest developments in Information Technology.
