The key objectives of this excursion include enquiry and documentation processes, focusing on exploring and investigating Bangkok’s art, architecture, and interior design. As part of their preparation for lifelong learning, students are encouraged to adopt an exploratory approach to enhance their exposure to real-world scenarios. This approach fosters self-assurance and a deeper understanding of their capabilities. Bangkok’s design landscape places significant emphasis on integrating traditional and modern elements, with a growing focus on sustainability and innovative use of space. Students observed how Bangkok’s unique cultural and environmental context influences its architectural and design practices, allowing them to reflect on their own methods and conceptualize, develop, and brand their own design projects.
Throughout the trip, students explored various landmarks such as the Emsphere Mall, EmQuartier Mall,Siam Paragon, Phaya Thai Road, Jim Thompson House Museum, ICONSIAM, TCDC (Thailand Creative & Design Center), The Commons, and Chatuchak Market. Additionally, the students participated in an exhibition entitled “Architect’24” at IMPACT Arena, Exhibition and Convention Centre, Muang Thong Thani. This exhibition allowed them to discover the future of design and engage with over 900 leading brand manufacturers from around the world, showcasing the latest trends and innovations in the building and construction industries. The event also attracted 88,000 professional visitors, including architects, designers, real estate developers, engineers, and distributors.
