8 July 2019 – Institut Kualiti dan Pengembangan Ilmu (InQKA) UiTM has visited Centre for Quality and Risk Management (QRiM), UTM to benchmark UTM’s achievement in university excellence as well as numerous World University ranking. The objective of the visit was to share the standards and performance on how to improve University’s quality outcomes, processes and practices.
It was also aimed to improve decision-making through referencing comparative data of bringing external focus to InQKA’s internal activities and adapting good practice examples from QRiM. 14 delegates from InQKA were present led by Assistant Vice Chancellor InQKA, YBhg. Professor Dr Hajah Roziah Mohd Janor.
It was indeed a great honour to be have briefing sessions given by Director of UTM QRiM, Professor Dr Yahaya Md Sam on current QRiM best practices and development such as governance structure, Management of Quality Academic, Management of Services as well as Risk Management.
Appreciation goes to YBhg. Professor Ir. Dr Rosli Mohamad Zin, Deputy Dean (Strategy and Quality) and Associate Professor Dr Suhaimi Abu Bakar, Academic Manager of School of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering UTM.
Both Professors have shared the Faculty’s System Application Development Processes especially for the academic division. InQKA really hope that information and knowledge gained from the visit can be applied in UiTM. The challenge will always be to cultivate the quality culture, with the strategies to streamline InQKA current direction.
